we loved our stay! it was the perfect rural retreat! we explored all the castles and ruins around us, only 1 hour or less to most sights. the use of the grill for our dinner was wonderful, as was the relaxing day around the pool. would highly recommend Casa Da Azenha Castellem.

I stayed here while walking the Ruta Carmelita to Fatima. The room is really beautiful and Sergio and his family very welcoming. It is in the countryside with no shops around so I preordered a vegetarian dinner which was great and the lady of the house gave me some yummy strawberries as well. I also had a great chat with the family. The place is so peaceful and quiet, the perfect place to relax after a long day of walking. In the morning their dog walked with me for a while which was really nice company.

Lovely hotel that once used to be a pousada. The ambience is very inviting and the room was quite elegant. I received a welcome drink of my choice upon arrival and had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was also very good. This charming hotel is in a quiet town, about a 15 minute drive from Coimbra, which suited me perfectly. I could park for free outside the main entrance. My room had a lovely view of the town and the valley.

Had an amazing stay at this lovely B & B. We were picked up at rabacal on our Camino and driven to the property. The owners were very kind we had a fire warming up the room nicely and a welcome wine on arrival. The dinner and breakfast provided was exceptional and homemade. We even given some food for our Camino journey that next day and driven back to our Camino route. Really felt we could relax and rest for the last stage of our Camino. Would recommend to anyone looking for a little rest and retreat.
