Beautiful location in the mountains. The food was great, staff wonderfully friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything you could need. The dining room was surrounded by plants which was beautiful. They even drove us to the train station when the taxi could not pick us up. This place is great I wish I had more time to spend exploring this wonderful area.

A chill place with an excellent breakfast!

I really loved this property. It was completely private and included quite a lot of beautiful private outdoor space including lounge chairs, social area and outdoor dining. The interior is compact bust has everything you need. It looks newly renovated and is very clean and modern. The host family is amazing! I highly recommend!

Good communication before arrival, precise instructions to find the place. Host was waiting for us. Friendly, helpful host. We even got farewell gifts! Very well equipped, newly refurbished (or built) apartment, even unusual accessories were available (e.g. sewing kit). Excellent bathroom with shower cabin (our preference), which was not leaking. Bosch washing machine / dryer combo. Many towels (although not the best quality.) Fully equipped kitchen except espresso machine. Bed was spacious, mattress is not too soft. Everything was new and clean. Wonderful garden, very comfortable, big parking place - only for our car. Very good location (by car) to Postojna cave (30m), Skocian cave (8m), Triest (30m), Koper (30m), Ljubljana (50m - if you don't get in traffic jam trap). Also good for visiting Istria. Lokev itself is just a small place but the surrounding environment is very nice. Very quiet.

The owners were great: very friendly and communicative. Everything was extremely clean and modern. The apartment is close to Trieste and Škocjanske caves. Good AC and coffee machine.

The place is very welcoming, it was my first experience with a wood stove that heats water and thermal water, really interesting, well-stocked kitchen, very spacious bathrooms

Very comfortable to stop for overnight stay , clean , staff friendly. Very very good restaurant ( to be honest was not expecting to be good ) but it was absolutely delicious dinner !

I saw one review that was a 6 out of 10. I do not understand it and actually asked the owner. They liked to stay but said that it was unfinished. The unfinished portion was a pool he is building. Actually, myself and a friend we're doing a bike ride from Idria up to the Austrian border, West and down along the Italy border to piran, into Croatia and are heading back up to Ljubljana. A very long trip of about 2 weeks. This was without a doubt the finest hotel I stayed in. The owners were super nice. They were not serving dinner, so the owner's daughter drove us 5 minutes to a restaurant, dropped us off, and picked us up when we called her. I don't know of any staff at a hotel that would do that for us. This was simply a beautiful place with some of the kindest people I've met.

The location was perfect. We were able to visit Lipica in the morning and the Skocjan Caves (both most dos) in the afternoon. The view from the apartment (we were in Gaja Room 3) was perfect and we enjoyed eating supper on the terrace. There is a nice guide book in the apartment that gives ideas. Anja was also very nice. There is vegetable oil, vinegar, salt and pepper in the cabinets.

It was a quiet nice stylish apartment that was very clean and seemed newly renovated. It was close to the train and bus station and supermarket. Everything was good. I met good people around me and the Skochan Cave was also very cool. I will definitely stay again.

Such a charming location, just a 20 min from Matavun. The host Irena was very kind and welcoming, and a wonderful chef! The room was spacious, immaculate and comfortable. The electric kettle and mug in the room was a nice touch, so lovely to have tea in the evenings, and a compost bin for the tea bag! Nice to be away from the bustle of the caves and enjoy the peace and quiet on this working farm.

The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly. Check-in is until 10:00 PM, but we warned that we would arrive 40 minutes later and the staff waited for us. Excellent breakfast with a large selection of healthy food, lots of fruit.
