The host was so kind and welcoming, she greeted us with snacks and food and although she didn’t have any English we were able to communicate everything we needed. The hotel is older but clean, comfortable and our bathroom had been renovated.

Set in an aboriginal village on the edge of the jungle. You can hear the deer at night and there are monkey and birds very close. Early in the morning as we rode out on our bikes on the back road we saw a giant squirrel and a Taiwan blue pheasant. The host is very kind and generous and the room is very comfortable. Very bicycle friendly. Shared kitchen with microwave.

Best place I have stayed in all of Taiwan!! This small guesthouse is adorable, clean, and very thoughtfully appointed. The bed is so comfortable. The shower was also amazing with fantastic water pressure and nice hot water. They also provide snacks, tea, and coffee, it is so thoughtful. I asked where I should get dinner in the town, and the host went to get food and bring it to me. It is above and beyond what a guesthouse should do for guests! And I was so relieved because after such a hard day of cycling, I was too tired to even walk into the town. I was so happy to stay here after cycling all the way from the west coast. If you are doing a cross island cycle trip, I highly recommend staying here! Also, the actual Village is really cute and it is a mostly indigenous Village and there is beautiful art and murals on many of the houses. It is a unique place to stay.
