We had a wonderful stay at the Roadside Inn and are happy to add it to our family’s list of favorite places to stay in New England! As a military family of five who travels frequently, we’re always looking for comfortable, affordable accommodations that offer good value without unnecessary frills. The Roadside Inn delivered exactly that! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the price was excellent, and the property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We actually discovered this location through a recommendation after staying at the Red Carpet Inn in Plymouth, New Hampshire, which has long been one of our family’s absolute favorites. We also happen to know one of the co-owners, so we were excited to give this property a try. We’re certainly glad we did! One pleasant surprise was the complimentary breakfast. While relatively simple, it was more than sufficient for our family, with warm waffles, juice, coffee, cereal, and fruit. It’s always nice to have breakfast included, especially when traveling with children, and it adds even more value to an already affordable stay. Parking was another convenience we appreciated. There was plenty of available parking, and we were able to park directly in front of our room, making it incredibly easy to unload our luggage and get everyone settled. What we appreciate most about properties like this is that they offer honest value, genuine hospitality, and a comfortable place to rest without charging the premium prices increasingly common throughout New England. We’re delighted to have found another dependable, family-friendly place to stay and will absolutely return whenever our travels bring us back to coastal Maine. We would happily recommend the Roadside Inn to friends, fellow military families, and anyone looking for affordable accommodations in the area!

Free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Good selections for breakfast. Clean.

Decor. Staff. On site restaurant for dinner. Choices for grab and go breakfast, reasonably priced. Ample parking.

Our room was superb and such good taste with decor. Such a peaceful place. All the staff we encountered were super friendly. The buffet breakfast was tasty with lots of variety.

The bedroom was quite large and there was a huge, comfortable king-size bed, even though I only booked a queen. The extras in the room, like air freshener, refrigerator, extra pillows, and tons of plugs for charging devices, were very much appreciated. We also liked the personnel, especially the owner, Stephanie. Breakfasts were above and beyond with fruit salad, two kinds of quiche, delicious roasted potatoes, juice and coffee. Every afternoon we had cookies and fresh fruit, cold water and tea. Parking was provided and the dock was available for sitting and sipping our wine while scanning the harbor. The B&B location was perfect - it was a short walk to the cute village and walking bridge. Marvelous restaurants were plentiful. There was even a huge botanical garden nearby. We wish we had stayed a whole week. Next time!

Elegant, easy free parking , staff wonderful. Close to everything
