United StatesWonderful accommodation within a farm like setting. Nicely appointed 1-bedroom place. Kitchen had everything one could want. Very quiet and pitch black at night. Short drive into Hawi, some on dirt/mud road. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend if you want to get away from the resorts.

United StatesI enjoy staying in places that are a bit different and have some historic character (I don't like big brand hotels or resorts), and Kohala Village Inn does that for me. A plantation style inn from the 1950s, rooms wrapped around an enclosed courtyard, and I liked that is was off the road, a bit hidden. Room comfortable and clean. Easy check-in process.
