We booked the 3 bedroom apartment for 2 nights for my MIL’s 70th birthday. Our group consisted of myself, my husband, our 4 yr old daughter and my MIL. It was a 2 bedroom apartment with an adjoining studio room - so we had 3 bedrooms (king beds) 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies - it was perfect! The hotel and rooms are new, modern, clean and spacious. The location is perfect, with James street around the corner with so many dining options and with galleries and the waterfront (playground, skateparks and activities) an easy, short walk away. The rooftop and BBQ area is lovely with stunning views over Geelong and there’s gym facilities which we didn’t use. Large free carpark (on weekends) around the corner. And if you don’t get your room cleaned/towels replaced, they have a plant a tree initiative which we liked!

This is an apartment hotel, my room was a studio with a balcony on the sixth floor. The studio is small but for a single person had enough space to never feel cramped. The rooms are well designed in the layout with a wardrobe and small desk as well as a kitchen and dining area with cooking pans, plate, utensils to make regular meals. The bathroom has a shower and nice vanity and again well designed with plenty of light. A free laundry area is available on the first floor as well as a gym. Staff are very helpful. Wi-fi was excellent. The hotel is walking distance to the CBD and popular Smith Street restaurants and nightlife as well as Fitzroy and Treasury Gardens.

Oakwood Premier Melbourne had a wonderful location for our purpose. We were able to easily access both the DFO and CBD and nearby grocery stores because of its excellent location. The staff was unbelievably nice and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay one of the most pleasant stays we have experienced in the 30 years we have been traveling. They extended our stay several times and managed to keep us in the same room through their busy weeks. Lastly, the room was cleaned when requested and promptly if necessary. I want to mention the supportive staff who helped make the stay so great were Front Desk: Brookse, Hannah, Mike (Bar Attendant), Palna (Supervisor Reservation). These particular individuals went up and beyond their regular duties to make our stay enjoyable and completely satisfactorily in every way 🤗🤗. Please continue to hold these high standards of service and quality at Oakwood Premier Melbourne. We will definitely be back.
