Set in Melbourne, 1.2 km from Melbourne Museum, The StandardX, Melbourne offers accommodation with a terrace, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The apartment was stylish, spacious and well furnished, the bathroom was clean and comfy, but things that made our stay exceptional was an amazing Spanish girl from the front desk, who was very friendly, helpful, she introduced us to the facilities of the hotel, informed us about surroundings, the city, recommended the bar on the top floor with an amazing view. We were also able to check-in earlier since our room was ready. I really appreciate the hotels that has check-out at the hour that doesn’t force guests to set an alarm in a phone, and The StandardX is one of them (human-friendly hotel) - standard check-out is at 12:00. Really recommend that place!

We booked the 3 bedroom apartment for 2 nights for my MIL’s 70th birthday. Our group consisted of myself, my husband, our 4 yr old daughter and my MIL. It was a 2 bedroom apartment with an adjoining studio room - so we had 3 bedrooms (king beds) 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies - it was perfect! The hotel and rooms are new, modern, clean and spacious. The location is perfect, with James street around the corner with so many dining options and with galleries and the waterfront (playground, skateparks and activities) an easy, short walk away. The rooftop and BBQ area is lovely with stunning views over Geelong and there’s gym facilities which we didn’t use. Large free carpark (on weekends) around the corner. And if you don’t get your room cleaned/towels replaced, they have a plant a tree initiative which we liked!

The breakfast was brunch style and was very tasty. I was able to get both a hot drink and a juice. The room was very big, spacious and private. Each cabin came with its own parking space at the front. Entire unit was very clean and the bathroom was spacious with good shower products. Very close to the two main hot springs.
