Two room types are available; the “Authentic” rooms, restored in a monastic spirit, are former Augustinian cells with shared bathrooms. The “Contemporary” rooms are modernly furnished while respecting the heritage character of the place. These rooms have a private bathroom. Perfectly located to all the upper town attractions. Like living in a living history museum. The rooms (stayed in a contemporary room) were simple, clean and almost scandanavian design, but very comfortable beds and retained the authentic windows. Breakfast was delicious with many options. Loved our time! The museum was so well done and really fascinating, a must see if you visit.

From the moment we saw the hotel from outside we were impressed, although no big foyer or entrance with the grandeur, the position was fabulous, and the Christmas vibe was beautiful. I thought i would ask if it was possible to have a christmas tree put in our room - didn't think it was likely to happen but they did and it bought a tear to my eye as i have dreamt of a white Christmas with my fmaily for many years and this was the cherry on top. Thank you Le Capitol for making one of my bucket lists items so special and a memory that will stay with me and my family forever.

The house is old, around 1780, so characterful and quirky, a relaxed, friendly, comfortable house to stay. Diane and Mario are friendly, relaxed hosts and made us feel very welcome. Our bed was comfortable, the room as to be expected in such an old house had space enough, and plenty of character, with windows overlooking both the garden and river. Breakfast is taken in a room with panoramic views and was homemade, beautifully presented, and on both mornings a lovely start to the day.
