This traditional guest house exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The staff, especially Ms. Sanqian, was incredibly considerate and friendly. She helped me arrange a tour and contacted me in advance to make sure I could arrive safely. The restaurants she recommended were excellent. I enjoyed them much, so I visited there twice. The guest house itself was very clean and well maintained, offering a perfect balance between traditional charm and modern comfort. Breakfast was provided for free, which was a lovely bonus. The location was also ideal; I could easily walk to all the main attractions in the old town. I have traveled to 66 countries so far, and I can confidently say this is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. I will definitely come back and stay here again on my next trip to Lijiang :)

Just a 15 minute ride from the Kunming airport and the hotel provides a nice new van for personal pick up and drop off. (By the way - you meet the hotel shuttle van 🚐 just 100 meters left of Arrivals Gate 1 as you walk out of the Kunming Airport). A great value and an extremely well appointed hotel room with very nice touches and great furnishings. Everything felt very new and clean and definitely one of the nicer 4 star hotels in the airport area. Good working AC and very helpful front desk staff - including Joyce who helped me with my WIFI. Breakfast is high quality but is mostly Chinese style (which I like) with Rice noodles 🍜 and a few hot Chinese dishes. Hotel 🏨 is in a little shopping area (with a bunch of other similar airport hotels) that have some tea shops and local restaurants. Great choice for a layover at the Kunming airport.

Super cozy place, both the private room and dorms (tried both). In a quiet alley in the old town, serves good and fairly priced food and most of all very accommodating owners - helping and giving advice and also really nice to just talk with them. Would always book here when I’m in Shangri La.

Located at the heart of Old Town in an actual heritage building. Very charming themes for room. Clean and complete amenities. Staff are very helpful and that one staff that speaks great English. They even go out of their way to find me an express laundry services.
