For the beauty of the surroundings and the magic of the forest, I thank the creator, and for the well-being, care, and the warm welcome of the cabin, I thank the owners. We had a great time and were even fortunate enough to witness a stunning aurora!

Good location since the area was just a small town everything is just walking distance. The property is looking new, very clean and neat. Sauna was fantastic. Breakfast was very good too. Owner was very friendly and they had a very lovely dog. The property is like a home. Fantastic place.

TaloYlläs is a fantastic place to stay, particularly in winter. All of the rooms have a certain level of charm as they are adorned with miscellaneous items from Äkäslompolo. Joni the host gives you a solid run down of how things are setup. The sauna is great, you can book a time to use it, it's clean, modern and private. When the lake is frozen it's quicker to get to the main part of town instead of walking around the outside. Some snow gear is available at the accomodation too, you can use the Kick Sledge or the Snowshoes as you see fit which is fantastic. I saw some places that rent Snowshoes for 15 Euro Per Day, so having these around to use when you see fit is handy. Toilets also have a handheld bidet which is a win!

Beeakfast was so colourful and healthy varity of fruits, salads, salami, youghart and granola with berry jam, and the bread basket was so attractive with different selection of croissant and brown bread. We had selection of berry juices, tea and coffee. The breakfast was made special for us. We informed them of the convinent time.

Offering 5 log cottages by Ylläs Mountain, Tunturioravat is a 5-minute walk from central Äkäslompolo. All cottages have wooden interiors, free Wi-Fi access and a private sauna. We had a great week with lots of snow and sun at the cottage. Simon was very helpful, gave tips and always responded very quickly to messages. The cottage is unique. Spacious and very well equipped. And always cosy and warm at -27 degrees. The small sauna was wonderful. The connection to the Y1 ski centre is great and there are also cross-country ski trails nearby. The supermarket in Äkäslompolo is very well stocked and has everything you need. We can highly recommend the cottage.
