Staying in a traditional Tongkonan was such a unique experience with a fantastic view. The inside is made with so much love and good taste. Eventhough the room itself was simple it was always clean and the bathroom was lovely. From the moment we stepped inside Meyskes home we felt like it was our home as well. Meyske introduced us to her culture like we have never experienced during our travels. 100% recommended if you plan to visit Tana Toraja. If you need anything you can always ask her or her super nice mom they were always there to help, whether it was the most delicious food, hot water to shower or a tee because my husband was sick. The tour with Meyske was our highlight of Tana Toraja, she makes sure you fit in as a tourist so you can enjoy the culture as much as possible. Thank you Meyske, come visit us in Germany :)

Providenciando vista da montanha em Rantepao, Mama Tia Family Homestay dispõe de acomodações, um jardim e um salão partilhado. O acesso Wi-Fi gratuito é disponibilizado em toda a propriedade. Everything was great, but the staff (especially Yansen) was really off the chart, willing to help with recommendations, plan arrangements, food, etc. One of the highlights of the trip was to cook a local dish in a bamboo with Yansen. The food was also delicious. Overall, excellently run and amazing hosts!

We had a great time at Villa Bait Lino, Lukas and his family are very nice people and invested to make you spend a good time. The place is beautiful, you sleep just in front of the rices fields and the mountains. I absolutely recommend this place to discover the toraja culture. Also i would recommand Marco as a guide to help you discover Toraja, he is a very nice person, commited to his work and he'll tell you everything you need to know about the toraja culture.

I had a perfect trip in Toraja, and it mostly owes to the perfect hosts. They prepared everything with care, showed me the good restaurants, helped me planning the trip, and even took me to a funeral, where I met their bigger family who are all great people. The bed was comfy, and sleeping under the roof hearing the rain was soothing (I have phobia of rain but this time I was calm). The little place is well decorated, fits the vibe of the hosts couple. The moment I met them I knew I got to get a good trip, that’s how they made me feel. I arrived early and left late, but they always welcomed me and had me a place to rest.
