Built in 1903, the iconic Taj Mahal Palace stands majestically opposite the Gateway of India, overlooking the Arabian Sea. Sprawled over 2.6 acres, this 5-star deluxe hotel boasts 9 restaurants and a variety of traditional Indian therapies at J Wellness. We stayed here from Dec 29 2024 to Jan 2 2025. I am writing this review soon after we reached home. This was one of our several visits to the Taj in the past few years and, incredibly, every visit tops the previous one. Often, one wants to try a new place although with the Taj, this is not the case. Somehow, it draws you back again and again. Sakshi helped check us in and stayed in touch throughout the stay. She took over all our matters as soon as we checked in. Which wasn’t easy given the hotel was at near full capacity and the pressure of new year eve preparations. We can’t thank her and Ritesh (the GM of the property) for making our family feel super special. The Taj Mahal Palace wing sets the benchmark for warmth and luxury. One has to stay here to set yourself a benchmark of what hotel stays can be like. If your travels bring you to Mumbai, stay here. Even if it is for a day. It makes life worth living!

Centrally located in Mumbai's business district, close to South Mumbai's shopping and entertainment areas, The Oberoi offers luxury and convenience with its outdoor heated pool, 24-hour spa, fitness and concierge service. It also features 5 food and beverage options offering a variety of cuisines. Complimentary WiFi is available in all rooms. Staff were warm and polite. The Rooms Division Manager was very approachable and did what she could to make my stay pleasant and memorable.

The Tower stands in harmonious contrast to The Taj Mahal Palace with its arched balconies and newly refurbished rooms. Sprawled over 2.6 acres, this 5-star deluxe hotel boasts 10 restaurants and a variety of traditional Indian therapies at J Wellness. Absolutely everything. The location is perfect, the hotel itself (inside and outside) is beautiful but most of all, the staff were on another level. It’s a very busy hotel with lots of celebrities (cricketers) and I was still treated like I was the only one in the whole hotel. Wonderful stay

Very welcoming and hospitable staff. Everyone greeted us with a warm smile and always ready to assist. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of different Indian breakfast live stations and continental option too. The staff at Hill View restaurant were top…so attentive to your needs and went the extra mile. Thanks to Mayur and JP, we really enjoyed the dining experience.
