Built in 1903, the iconic Taj Mahal Palace stands majestically opposite the Gateway of India, overlooking the Arabian Sea. Beautiful setting, really attentive staff, great breakfast. The room was perfect and I enjoyed learning about the history of the hotel. It is right next to the gateway to India. The bakery is amazing, we had really good macaroons.

The biggest asset of the hotel: staff members. They go to great lengths to make one feel welcome/ I also received (unannounced) a special treat and cheerful room decoration for my birthday)
