Featuring mountain views and a garden, 馬籠ふるさと学校 Magome Furusato Gakkou offers accommodation attractively situated in Nakatsugawa, within a short distance of Toson Memorial Museum, Magome Wakihonjin... Loved my stay here and cannot recommend it enough! The building itself is an experience to stay in; very nostalgic and cozy. Bunk beds were comfy and clean. As others have mentioned, remember to bring your own groceries as the food in Magome town is quite limited. Make sure to check out the gymnasium!

Onyado Yuinosho býður upp á gufubað og ókeypis einkabílastæði og er í innan við 45 km fjarlægð frá Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village og 46 km frá Takayama-stöðinni. At first I was slightly uneased by the price of the night for 3 people, but after experiencing the onsen, the amazing dinner, and exceptional breakfast combined with top notch staff, I must say, the price is very well worth it. Food was superb, and the quality of the onsen was unbelievable - rivaling that of Beppu onsens known through Japan. Not to mention the exceptional accessibility options should the guest be differently abled - 2 very wide elevators, appropriately sloped ground, no bumps going through the rooms.

Conveniently situated in the centre of Takayama, HOTEL WOOD TAKAYAMA provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Perfect location, very very nice rooms, a really nice and interesting modern ryokan experience. The free bar in the afternoon gives the main room a lovely ‚living room‘ vibe.

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. The place is very cozy, the common area is spacious and there's a lot of things to do. Very convenient place for the spots around, near the station. They waited for our arrival at 1 am after there was an accident with the trains. They even let us leave our luggage after checkout for 2 nights while we went to Shirakawa-go.

Great place if you are seeking a traditional Japanese experience. Amazing hospitality. Near most common attractions. Highly recommended!

Oyado Koto No Yume er í aðeins 2 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Takayama-stöð og býður upp á litrík herbergi í japönskum stíl. The hosts did a lot to accommodate us and gave a very good service. We received some tea on arrival and some nice gifts upon departure and during our stay we could taste local sake and plum wine.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. Very nice and cosy space! Staff were friendly, facilities were nice, all was great! The free ramen at night was delicious! Food was generally not bad.

6.4 km from Mt. Ena Weston Park, まち宿-machiyard- is a recently renovated property set in Nakatsugawa and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Hosts very helpful, facilities wonderfully clean. Loved our stay here
