Literally next door to the bus/train station. Very spacious room. Good washer/dryer inside the room. Comfy beds.

Clean and very well managed onsen resort. Guest checkin and access internal of the hotel which is all tatami from lobby onwards. Clean and very transitional feel.

Absolutely perfect, the best hotel experience in our 3 week Japan trip! Only a bit negative side is that there is only japanese breakfast option, however taken all the other things into consideration, still 10/10 experience.

Guest House Ouka offers everything you would expect from a well-run guesthouse. The reception staff speak fluent English, which made the check-in process smooth and easy from the start. The dorm rooms are large and very spacious, with plenty of room to organize luggage. Each guest has a big locker and a dedicated space to hang clothes, which is very convenient. The shower facilities are also spacious and spotless, and the kitchen and common areas are equally clean and comfortable. Overall, it offers excellent value for money and is a perfect choice for staying in Takayama.

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. Hotel was great! The traditional vibes was immaculate and the traditional breakfast and dinner options was a really good experience. Staff was really friendly and explained how all the electronics and remote controls work at the start which really helped us have a comfortable stay. At the end of the stay, the staff even sent us to the bus station without us asking as it was snowing and she mentioned it would be difficult for us to drag the luggage to the bus station 😭. Overall it was an amazing experience and I recommend all to stay here during your time in takayama!

Oyado Koto No Yume er í aðeins 2 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Takayama-stöð og býður upp á litrík herbergi í japönskum stíl. The hosts did a lot to accommodate us and gave a very good service. We received some tea on arrival and some nice gifts upon departure and during our stay we could taste local sake and plum wine.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. Super attentive and kind staff, great japanese breakfast, beautiful rooms. The Hot Springs were amazing!
