What a cool place! There were so many opportunities to taste the beer that was brewed locally on-site. From the drinks bar at check-in to the tasting room open all day to the all-you-can-drink plan at dinner, the hotel was really quite generous with their liquid offerings. Even non-drinkers are accommodated with plenty of alcohol-free options. We also liked that they had multiple private baths on site. The main onsen were also quite nice. The food was fantastic and the beef served at dinner was some of the best I've had.

Matatagpuan ang Takasagoya Ryokan sa Zaō Onsen, 2 minutong lakad mula sa Zao Hotsprings Ski Resort. The room size, staff service and food was spectacular. It was as competitive as the service I experienced in Kamikochi.

Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. Highly recommended. The staff are standout super efficient, always available and friendly. The hotel is spotlessly clean and newly refurbished (especially the rooms). The Japanese breakfast was an amazing experience. If we had to do this northwest region again we'd definitely repeat this as our base.

Guests at Hayamakan can enjoy traditional multi-course meals and relax in the indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. Big room with hot spring bath. Japanese traditional room and food. Very nice staff. Near famous pudding Cafe.

A very traditional Japanese guest house with ultra friendly and accommodating hosts. This property has been in their family for generations and they go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The meals were excellent and there was an English explanation for each dish served 😊. A big bonus is the short walk to the stairs to climb Mt Haguro. (Not that that makes the stairs any easier!) We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay here!

Matatagpuan sa Yamagata, ang Guesthouse Mintaro Hut ay 18 km mula sa Zao Hotsprings Ski Resort. This the best guest house I have ever been to!! The owner and the staff are great! They make you feel at home! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. What's more, they prepare a delicious dinner every night! Which creates a familiar atmosphere with all the guests and the staff! This stay was the highlight of my trip. Plus, the house is super comfy, toilets and bedrooms are sparkling clean. And They provide everything for you to prepare your breakfast! Location is perfect too, next to the Kajo park where you the Sakura blooming and its splendor!
