The bathtub is what sold me on the room! Nice big tub with views over the ocean and hot spring water pumped directly into your bathtub! The included breakfasts were also very good, very large servings, I didn't need lunch the days I had the breakfasts. The on-site onsens were heavenly, the "help yourself" coffee station was great, and the shop had all the things I like from the hotel available to buy ( got caramel apple tea and the lovely skin sets to take home). Highly reccommend this hotel!

Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. Most incredible onsen we’ve been. Everything was very nicely decorated, great dinner and breakfast in private rooms. Big room. Onsen was increasingly clean

Guests at Hayamakan can enjoy traditional multi-course meals and relax in the indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. Nice staff and good service, excellent room and spa, food are also fine

Very friendly staff with surprisingly good English. The room was spacious and clean, and the food was delicious. Good location close to Mount Haguro which was well worth the trip.

I especially enjoyed the nightly dinners where the host would cook a buffet-style meal for the guests. You're welcome to contribute as much (or as little) as you like via a payment box. No pressure. Dinners were delicious and very healthy, consisting mostly of vegetable-forward dishes. The owner, staff, and cat were wonderful.
