Thank you to the 3 of you (with Bob? the dog). Don't hesitate to book here! Jeonju is an awesome, under appreciated city.

It was our first Hanok experience and the most memorable part of our 8-day trip in Korea! As other reviews have pointed out, the location is perfect and the owner is friendly. I can’t say enough great things about the owner, Mr. Choi. We learned that he is a retired banker. He is super organized, attentive, and helpful. After he knew that my wife is a K-drama fan, he immediately marked a few famous filming locations on the map. In addition, there was a water cooler in his office, and it helped a lot for us to get hot drinking water on cold days. His wife is also a friendly lady, and we tried to communicate via the translation apps! This kind of interactions with locals really enriched our experience. We had never slept on the floor before, but we were glad that we got used to it, with the help of extra pillows! I can’t find words to describe the wonder of lying on the heated floor and feeling the heat warming into my body through my back. I guess this is Koreans’ secret to stay healthy! Since we stayed for two nights, we had enough time to visit all the major attractions (and great restaurants and cafes!) without feeling rushed. I especially enjoyed walking around the old town late at night or early in the morning, when the day-trippers were gone and it seemed that you had Jeonju all to yourself! The house is very close to all the most important tourist attractions in the city but what makes it truly special are the people managing it. The owners are mom and daughter who manage the guest house in the most pleasant and enjoyable way. They are locals and can suggest the best places in the city for eating, visiting and more. I will definitely go back to Mua Guesthouse because it is comfortable affordable but mostly because I felt at home.
