We had dinner and lunch there. We had the most delicious food in Sri Lanka. I was very happy. We wanted to stay for two more days but we didn't have a reservation for two days so we had to leave the next day. We highly recommend this place. The beach is just in front of you. You can walk to the beach. There are tall trees. The place is quiet and peaceful. This place is a good place to relax.

Super clean. The kids could play in the garden. Super friendly family and easy to communicate with. We stayed 2 nights and went to Passukudah beach. Advice to have dinner and breakfast because they cook great.

Facing the beachfront, Karpaha Sands offers 5-star accommodation in Pasikuda and features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool and garden. Where do I even begin? What a hotel! Very intimate and cozy, the room was pristine and the staff is amazing. The food is just too delicious. Namal was very kind to us and Umberto (the GM) such a pleasant acquaintance! We felt home. They were so nice to even add a bed for a friend who joined us last minute!

Special thanks to the hotel manager, who was welcoming and helped resolve an issue with the air conditioner extremely quickly. Good sleep is very important when traveling, and it was truly appreciated. The hotel’s beach area is clean and well maintained. We came mainly for snorkeling, but unfortunately at this time the water was murky and the coral reef seemed dead. However, the beach itself is long and public, perfect for long walks. We stayed for two days, and during that time both breakfasts and dinners were very enjoyable (we chose from the menu). There is a large swimming pool. The massage therapist was excellent — special thanks for the high level of professionalism. I have a lot to compare with. Overall, there is plenty of activity: evening movie screenings, billiards, a bar, and more. We personally preferred enjoying nature and a calm, relaxing stay. The gym was small but had everything necessary; the only downside was that it felt stuffy, so it’s better to turn on the air conditioning in advance. Everything was great!

The eco-friendly Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection sits on the sandy shores of Passekudah Bay on the east coast of Sri Lanka. We stayed at Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa for 8 nights and were 100% satisfied. The food was excellent, with plenty of variety - spicy local dishes, continental options, lots of seafood, fruits, and yummy desserts. It was easy to find kid-friendly meals, and the restaurant staff were top-notch. Our cottage was spacious, quiet, and very comfortable, with great soundproofing from top neighbors. Housekeeping was fast and flawless special thanks to Thasitha and Viraj for keeping everything spotless. The resort was peaceful and not too crowded. The pool was clean and well-designed for both kids and adults, with a nice bar nearby. The beach was beautiful and perfect for swimming in June. We also loved the kids’ animation. Richie, the animator, kept kids entertained with fun activities, giving parents time to relax. He was friendly, creative, and great to chat with. This was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in - clean, cozy, family-friendly, and well-managed. Highly recommended!
