The icing on the cake was the G&T our hosts gave us by the poolside. Outstanding! At the same time we had privacy as the studio is completely seperate from the main house. The Studio is in a wonderfully landscaped garden with a wide range of plants & trees. The accommodation is “compact and bijou”, but has everything you might need. Very cleverly designed. There is outside seating areas with a small table and two chairs to sit & watch tv. At the end of the stay our hosts said we could check out later if we wished. Very relaxed family oriented hosts, who gave us great information about the town, and where to eat and visit etc. Small continental breakfast that was very tasty. We were also given a lovely homemade slice, to have with a cuppa when we arrived as well. 😋 Highly recommended!

Hopwood Bed & Breakfast is situated in Taihape and has recently renovated accommodation, a kitchenette and mountain views. This bed and breakfast features free private parking, a housekeeping service and free WiFi. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Everything was beautiful and it was so peaceful. Leah added so many special touches and everything was there that you needed. The homemade muffins were divine! It was very clean and tidy and felt like a home away from home! The host, Julie, is absolutely warm, helpful and friendly. She stated that the lodge is 'her baby' and it shows. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds we've ever had and the room was furnished with such care and class.

If you love classic but still modern, this is the place to be and sleep. Nice shower good beds (mattress was not too hard not to soft just perfect) I did love the classic lounge that was taking care off nice and tidy. You can have a nice walk outside. There are some funny (jersey) cows. Nice host very friendly
