I was able to relax and gain the energy for upcoming travels here and that also thanks to nice and very kind personnel. Some people are complaining about the dog Benji, but when I was there, it was way calmer then it usually is in Peru. And the price vs. quality ratio is very good. If the wind will blow me to these parts of the Peru again, I'll know where to go feel good and welcomed.

Melissa, and her brother, are incredibly helpful. She helped me book a tour and a taxi, she made recommendations on where and what to eat. It's rare to get such great attention! The hostel is very clean and has a nice rooftop terrace, clean showers with hot water and one of the best equipped (and cleanest!) kitchen I have seen in a hostel. There are tons of places to have breakfast or dinner in the surroundings, including a local market. The hostel was very quiet during my stay: I was the only guest while I was there. But I'd definitely sleep there again if I went back to Ayacucho!

Located in Ayacucho’s Plaza de Armas square, Ayacucho Hotel Plaza features a restaurant, an art gallery, and a garden. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast are provided. A beautiful, modern and spacious suite with a large terrace overlooking the Plaza de Armas cost the grand total of $79 U.S.! Staff were delightful and parking was free. Guidebooks and previous comments about this property are out-of-date...the hotel has obviously been engaged in a major upgrade of the guest rooms elevating them to a superior, modern condition. Ayacucho is a beautiful colonial city that will inevitably be featured as an undiscovered gem for tourists.

I can honestly say that, out of all of the hotels I've ever stayed in, this one by far superseded any expectation. The rooms are very tidy and have all of the relevant commodities, the distance to the city center is doable on foot, the private bathrooms too, the breakfast is amazing and, last but not least, this was by far the friendliest staff I've ever had the privilege to be helped by. I would absolutely recommend.
