The description and photos matched my expectations. Very friendly staff, location is away from the business of the plaza de armas, and transportation is good via taxi or bus. If you need wheelchair access or no-steps room, be sure to contact them directly if possible to make it happen. Excellent hotel, I would highly recommend. The city of Ayacucho and its people have much to offer, and teach, to any visitor: clean, fun, respectful, and hospitable. Much to see and do there, the zoo, trips to Quinua, Wari, Pikimachay, etc.

The hostel is very clean and has a nice rooftop terrace, clean showers with hot water and one of the best equipped (and cleanest!) kitchen I have seen in a hostel. There are tons of places to have breakfast or dinner in the surroundings, including a local market. The hostel was very quiet during my stay: I was the only guest while I was there. But I'd definitely sleep there again if I went back to Ayacucho!

Guidebooks and previous comments about this property are out-of-date...the hotel has obviously been engaged in a major upgrade of the guest rooms elevating them to a superior, modern condition. Ayacucho is a beautiful colonial city that will inevitably be featured as an undiscovered gem for tourists.
