There is not much to do around, but that fits perfect if what you are looking for is peace and quiet. The lodge has a private swimming deck to the lake- highly recommended to go for a swim there! And shoutout to the library they have- it made by day when I got there. They also provide with free Black Tea in case you fancy that as companion to the reading, appart from the great views. The profits from the lodge go back to the island communities, so we paid dinner with pleasure.

My stay at Wycliffe’s place was absolutely wonderful. He is a calm and gentle gentleman who welcomes guests with true hospitality. Above all, I highly recommend trying his food! It was the best food I had in Uganda ✨ The seasoning was perfect, and even now I still wish I could eat it again. Wycliffe always prepared a campfire and delicious tea, which created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere at the lodge. Thanks to him, the entire stay felt very relaxed and comfortable. He also introduced food and tours at reasonable prices, and kindly arranged boda-boda transportation, so it was easy to access from Kabale town. With the beautiful lake and the lovely lodge, you can truly relax and enjoy your time here. Thank you so much, Wycliffe! This place is truly a hidden gem! I stayed 3 days 2 nights, wish I can stay longer. What makes this place so special are the staff. From the manager (pick up me at the town and send to the resort by boat), the boatman, local guide, chef, helper and all in the resort. This resort strategic location is perfect who love quiteness and really into the nature. Trust me once you are here you dont feel like to leave. He helped me a lot, because I unexpectedly arrived very late and he was checking all the time how is my travel going. I felt really safe and room was also very comfortable and clean. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views of the lake. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I also really enjoyed the food , tasty and well-prepared.
