Location, style (popular, alternative culture)

Very convenient to the train station. Its location along the river promenade was exceptional.. Restaurants and outdoor dining right there..

Very nice hotel in the old town of Solothurn. Very nice staff!!

Perfect stay, good location, amazing food, excellent staff

It is like renting a studio apartment with hotel amenities. Best showers ever! Decent continental breakfast.

Excellently kept hotel, very clean, well looked after! Thank you

Excellent quiet clean modern hotel.

The hotel is perfect. It’s charming, clean and in a fabulous location between the Solothurn train station and the bridge into the Old Town. We booked two rooms for New Year’s Eve (a single for my teenaged niece) and it was the best value for money. The staff are super friendly and helpful (they made some modifications to our reservations and Daniela was super sweet at checkin and when we got cappuccinos, hot chocolate and croissants after breakfast had officially closed. They have a fabulous coffee machine available to guests next to the gorgeous area to drink and relax. Decor is very pretty! The beds are comfortable, linens are soft, and the rooms are very quiet. Super clean with great hot water and water pressure in the showers. Rooms accessible by elevator, so I will be bringing my older mom here, too. Now my favorite hotel in Solothurn (and my husband is from Solothurn and we’ve stayed in many hotels here). There is also an apartment where you can book individual rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom at great prices on this site. Highly recommended and can’t wait to return.

Great location and breakfast! Loved it all!

The location is amazing, its a beautiful property with neat and very well maintained rooms, and Marcus, the owner, is an exceptionally humble and cooperative person. His warm and friendly attitude made the stay experience even more pleasant. Also, good breakfast. Free parking, with the charging station for EVs.

Vinzenz’s retreat lodge is an absolute gem! The space is cozy, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed. Nestled in breathtaking nature, it’s the perfect place to unwind, with a sauna and barbecue cotta that add a touch of luxury. Vinzenz’s hospitality is unmatched—he’s warm, attentive, and goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Whether enjoying the sunshine on the Balmberg or simply relaxing in the lodge, this place offers an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend it for anyone seeking tranquility and charm in equal measure!

Easy, straightforward, value for money

Apartment is in a good location quite near to the town center. Key collection and check in was super easy with the lock box just outside the main entrance. The place is quite spacious and had everything that we needed for our short stay, Wifi connection info was missing but the hosts were quick to respond when messaged on WhatsApp. Overall a pretty good experience.

We have stayed at other Romantik properties and this one, Sternen was wonderful as well. We had dinner at the restaurant which was very good. The staff was very helpful and accommodating as we arrived late and were still able to get a table in the restaurant. Breakfast was very good as well!
