Our stay at casona el Refugio was fantastic! The property is a small ~10 room b&b. It felt very quaint and quiet with a beautiful pool. Marcos and staff were amazing, providing great insight into the wines and beers of the Casablanca valley. We had a great dinner at the property (they offer one meal a night) with wines paired by Marcos and it was one of our favorite meals of our trip. Great central location for going wine tasting in the Casablanca valley.

The hotel was exceptional with the friendly staff and amazing flower gardens throughout. It was an incredibly peaceful and beautiful property. The staff was very responsive and helpful with every request. The owners sincerely wanted the guests to enjoy their special place.

The views during sunset, overlooking the vineyard you stay on with the surrounding hills! It was stunning and felt like a glamping experience as there isn’t a whole lot around you. The dogs on the property were adorable and we fell in love with one of them and just made the stay feel so homey. It was a great location within 15-20 minutes of so many wineries! The wineries we went to and loved were Casas de Bosque (we did their wine tour and ate an amazing lunch here), Kingston Family Vineyards (incredible view), and Emiliana Organic Winery (lovely property with delicious wine).

Location is unique! Alfonso's and Jim's hospitality were very polite and they showed us around the facilities. If you're looking for an escape into nature, with only the sounds of birds horses and dogs this is the ideal place for you. You have a pair of bicycles to ride the whole vineyard. The cabin has everything you need to cook, it has a hot tub and all the necessary things for a comfy stay.
