Absolutely gorgeous place. Ended up extending our trip. This is an area which has thankfully been untouched by rapid and vapid development. The views of Himalayas were amazing. The location is a 8 kms drive from Jageshwar and Vrid Jageshwar intersection. The road is well connected and drive is pleasurable. I was looking for an off-beat quaint location and Kasar Devi( which I loved when I first went there a few years ago) seemed commercial. At Kot Kailash we were welcomed by the nature. With the comforts of a boutique and cosy homestay. Also, we felt a personal touch at Kot Kailash. Had engaging conversations with Pushkar, who had been a wonderful host having an incredible Kumaoni knowledge which translated to yummy local food. ( Read- do not miss the local Kumaoni Dal or the Banofee Pie). His love for coffee meant you can always ask for one :). One of the days went for a nearby trail with Pushkar. Incidentally other guests also joined and it ended up being a good bond over travel, nature and sharing knowledge. With a negligible AQI the location was spot on and we hope to revisit it sometime during the winters. Curious to see how the forest will look like in the snow :)

We had a lovely stay here. It’s a bit of a climb to get to, but the view is the best in the area. The atmosphere is very laid-back and authentic. We spent most of our time on the rocks near the property watching the sunset. The food was simple but delicious (try the local dishes!), and the rooms were kept very clean.

I wish I could have rated this place 10 plus. Everything about this place is wonderful, not far from Kasar Devi Temple. The host (sister Maya Devi) was unbelievable, very humble lady with great manners. She took care of me as an elder sister would. I am very grateful to her for the delicious food that she prepared for me and she even got me pure cow milk. I was lucky to visit this place during the full moon. The energy there was unbelievable. Very highly recommended. This is the only place where I would like to stay if I ever decide to visit Kasar Devi Temple.

The location of Traveller Hive is excellent as it is perched on a hill with great views of the ranges. It is mindfully set up with a lot of attention given to finer details, cleanliness and friendly service providers. There are a number of spots in the property to chill, relax and hangout with your fellow travellers. Nupur's excellent cakes and breads are a treat while Yash and his helpers will make sure you get hot home cooked meals (with a Kumaoni tinge) all day long. The Internet works well for the most part, barring periods of high wind when there can be fluctuations. The very cute and energetic German shepherd (called Olive) will greet you every morning as you start your day with a Yoga session. Overall, a full star experience and I will definitely go back whenever I have the chance!
