Everything about Ometepe house was perfect...the friendly staff, the convenient location, the comfortable beds, and that pool was so refreshing. I will definitely be back at some point. It is the perfect lodging to experience Moyogalpa, and the island in general.

Terry was wonderful! Great to talk to and very helpful with many issues. Tasty food. We ate breakfast and dinner each day. Delicious smoothies. We were given an upgrade for the last four nights. Hostal y Mirador la Chaguita was an excellent place to stay. It’s near the ferry in Moyogalpa (although an extra 800 meters farther up the hill than google maps says), and the owners will give you a ride for $1.50 USD (which I recommend - the walk was a lot with luggage). The place is beautiful with amazing views and the hosts/owners are warm and lovely people. They cooked us a delicious breakfast and made fresh juice in the morning, all for a very reasonable price. The hosts were also very responsive via WhatsApp before we arrived, and they helped us arrange transportation for the following day (and can help set up tours, etc if you wish). I definitely recommend staying here!

Ophelia y Jocasta are the kindest and sweetest hosts ever. Enjoying a cup of coffee outside near where they have a fountain and watching the birds come up to bathe themselves is very serene. The location is in a neighborhood so it doesn’t feel touristy at all.

Danilo was the perfect host. The property was very clean and new, with a nice garden area. Danilo was helpful in every aspect. Whether it was getting a great deal for a scooter, or recommendations on where to eat or what activities were available, he was on top of it all. I left two pouches with my passport, money, and everything important I was traveling with at the Guest House Nena when I departed to take a ferry back to San Jorge. I had no idea I had left them! They were under a sheet on the bed that I had inadvertently covered them with. After the people at the Guesthouse found my pouches and their valuable contents, they looked around for me, and the young lady from the Nena eventually ended up boarding ferry before we left and asked for me. Fortunately, she found me. I thanked her profusely and gave her a hug. I was extremely happy and grateful to have my stuff and to have adverted a semi-disaster. I owe that girl and the Guest House Nena in Moyogalpa….

This beautiful hostel is run by a big, wonderful family who have been very friendly and hospitable. For a small price, you can have a big delicious, and fresh breakfast. The location is perfect, set in the middle of a tranquil barrio that is walking distance to all the restaurants, stores and banks. The room with a private bathroom that I had was big, very clean and comfortable. The upstairs patio is surrounded by colorful plants and flowers, and plenty of comfortable seating, along with a roof deck with an amazing view of the town and volcano Concepción. I've been to 5 different hostels in 10 weeks on Ometepe, and Siero is my very favorite. If you want a very chill, comfortable place to stay that is close to everything, and is run by a beautiful family, Hostel Siero is the place to choose. You can also rent scooters here at a very reasonable price.

    José was an incredible host - he arranged everything from scooters, to horse riding tours to taxis. He was so great to chat to and gave really helpful recommendations for Ometepe. We even cooked together one night. The location is amazing, you are surrounded by nature, fruit and veggie trees and an amazing view of the volcano. The dogs and the cat are super friendly too and the pool table was a nice bonus. Highly recommend

    There is nothing i can think of that i didn't like about this hotel. Friendly, clean, comfortable...everything was great! And the cats and dogs and chickens living there was an added bonus for animal lovers. They have complimentary coffee and tea and filtered water. It was like a mini resort at an affordable price and have dorm rooms as well.

    Beautifully located hostel on the country side of Moyogalpa with lots of space to hangout, especially the balcony offers (on sunny days) an amazing view of volcan concepcion. The host was really helpful in terms of organizing our motor bike rental and the volcano hike (which we really recommend doing!) as well as our transport options for the onward travels. The dogs and cat are cute!

    We loved the location. Upstairs is a lot of space for an workout, to eat or to chill with a great view. The garden looks great with oranges and other fruits. They have 2 cute dogs and a cat. In the kitchen you can find everything you need.
