We were driving from Trondheim and had an 11:30 am international flight to catch the next day. We wanted to cut the drive down a little and yet be close enough to the airport that we didn't have a long drive the next day. It was about an hour 15 minute drive from the airport. The location was perfect, a beautiful location overlooking the lake and a good price. We arrived about 6:30 pm and asked about nearby restaurants and they offered us dinner. It was a set menu - moose patties with gravy, potatoes and mixed vegetables - it was delicious and the price was less than we paid for smash burgers in Trondheim. Our stay here was short - would have enjoyed staying longer but it was a stop on the way to airport for us. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was a full Norwegian spread. There was construction being done in the front - staff told us it was something about the water line - so was a bit of an inconvenience as the parking lot was a bit far from the door when one had suitcases, but I know once the construction is done it will be better and construction is a necessity of life.
