I had a wonderful stay at this homestay. This is my second time visiting here. The place was clean, comfortable, and felt like home. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. What made the stay extra special was the dinner which was chicken nepali khana and the breakfast – they served delicious Nepali food for breakfast like kodo ko roti and satu, which I really enjoyed. It was a great experience, and I would love to visit again!

Positive: The place is available by taxi from Kathmandu. Nice mointain view from terrace. Owner and staff were ready to help. The owner even lended his scooter for us. Neutral: Rooms are of decent quality, as expected from average country guesthouse around the world. They are not heated, the same as everywhere in the neiborhood, but hot shower is available. A bunch of routes in walking distance around: village+memorial park, temples, waterfall. Expect ~20 kph speed down the NH18 unpaved road, probably 4x4 only after rain. They served us huge plates of Dāl bhāt for each lunch and a dinner, for that charged additional 3 USD per serving per person at departure.

Considering location and facilities, this is a great hotel! The rooms located near the main street are a bit noisier, but we were able to move to a quieter room and slept great. The breakfast area on the top floor is really nice as well. The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers that want to stay in Thamel.

Lovely owners- very warm, welcoming, and helpful! It's great how the guesthouse is tucked away in a quiet corner of busy Thamel and has a small garden at the entrance. Would certainly stay here again!

In my opinion Nepalaya Home Hostel is one of the best budget accommodations in Kathmandu. it's clean, pleasant, and offers excellent value for money What genuinely distinguishes it is the amazing hospitality, particularly of Amrit the hard work guy always smiling and always provide problem solving ideas for guests.  His warm welcome, friendly demeanor, and genuine concern for guests make you feel right at home. He never fails to be willing to help, whether you need travel advice or simply want to talk everyone becomes friends so fast with him . This hostel is an excellent alternative for budget tourists due to its pleasant environment, friendly environment and convenient location. Highly recommended!

Wonderful staff, I loved the interaction. It makes your day better when you have such wonderful and helpful staff. It's my 2nd time in this hostel and I still really appreciate it very much! In 2-3 weeks that I've been out of KTM they made huge and really good changes. This place is getting better and better! Beautiful, comfortable, great location and price and the food has gotten even better than last time 👍
