History part of the hotel. My sister stayed here about 20 years ago and noticed many improvements. The bar and complimentary breakfast were good.

Very clean. We brought our dogs and it was very well thought thru so make us feel special with them. The decor was adorable, there was even a doggie bed, water bowl and biscuits for them. Plus a nice grass area. The staff was very friendly and the entire set up of this hotel was fantastic.

I upgraded to one of their deluxe/premium rooms just to try it out since it was less than 10 bucks for the upgrade from their basic room to the brand standard and I’m glad I did because that’s what made me feel like I was staying at an upper scale hotel for half the price where everyone else in town is charging over $150? Are you kidding me? I paid less than half at this place and still had the same amenities like coffee maker, fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board, blow dryer, alarm clock, shampoo, conditioner, two types of soaps, resort level comfy mattress, brand new floors, body mirror in bathroom, full length body mirror in the room, very well functioning heating and cooling unit and that’s more than a dozen items for less than 10 bucks! Can’t beat that.

Grand Central Motel provides free WiFi throughout the property and rooms with air conditioning in Ely.

Traveling family with four kids under 5 - nice place, very well suite for our needs for the night. Would stay here again if we ever drive through!
