The accommodation is located in a pleasant area, which is a little far from the city centre, but that's not a problem, as the bus station is only a minute away (buses no. 30 are also very frequent) and it's easy to get to the city center.

Super close to the bus stop and Badischer Bahnhof Basel station which made everything so easy. There is even a supermarket downstairs which was very convenient. The apartment was very clean, nice and quiet, perfect for relaxing. Overall, an excellent place in a great location. Highly recommended and we would love to come back again!

Our stay at this hotel was truly wonderful. The location was perfect — we could reach everywhere very easily. The bus stop was right next to the hotel, and the tram was just as close. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Even though we checked out early in the morning, they kindly kept our luggage until the evening. The cleanliness was exceptional; everything smelled fresh and spotless. Before arriving, I had written a note requesting a city view and an extra blanket, and they paid great attention to all my requests. Even though we visited in winter, the room was warm, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. I really wish we could have stayed longer. It was an important and memorable experience for us, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit. Their small treats and gestures were also very thoughtful. Thank you for everything!

Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town. The hotel is very well maintained and very clean. The breakfast buffet was amazing! There is a quiet cozy garden in the back where we had our free welcome drink and the stress of the traveling dissipated right away! The staff is super helpful and friendly!
