Not only is the accommodation superb and right on the Camino, but the owner and staff were exceptionally hospitable and friendly. The entire establishment is beautiful. And the dinner I enjoyed there was the best I've had since starting the Camino more than two weeks ago. If you have the chance, make a stop here during your Camino or eat here if you're lucky enough to live in this area. I stayed and ate at La Terrazza restaurant while walking the Camino del Norte in July 2025. Not only is the accommodation superb and right on the Camino, but the owner and staff were exceptionally hospitable and friendly. The entire establishment is absolutely beautiful. And the dinner I had there was the best I've had since starting the Camino more than two weeks ago. If you have the chance, make this a stop on your Camino or have a meal here if you're lucky enough to live in this area.

Los Avellanos de Santillana queda aproximadamente a 28 km de Puerto de Santander y ofrece alojamiento con vista al jardín, una terraza y balcón. Very quiet and relaxing place. The host was wonderful and had a lot of breakfast options.

I had the pleasure of staying at Apartamentos Santander while walking the Camino del Norte. I could not have asked for more during my two night stay. Communication with the host was excellent and she was incredibly helpful as I needed to arrange delivery of my luggage in advance of my arrival. Not only is the apartment very well located, it is also impeccably designed. But more importantly, it is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and then some. I immediately felt like home and would undoubtedly stay here again if I were to return to Santander!
