Everything about this place was exceptional - the ambiance, location, staff, food, etc. A bonus is it’s pet friendly, which made me smile when I saw a dog (we don’t have one at the moment). But none - I repeat none - were unruly or misbehaving in any way and there was no smell or mess that might be expected.

Situated in Buckfastleigh within the grounds of Buckfast Abbey, Northgate House Hotel is on the edge of Dartmoor Nation Park, next to the banks of the River Dart.

Beautiful location and quite a lot to see in the direct neighbourhood. Rooms were perfect, beds were very comfy. Staff was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The bar was a nice place to enjoy a drink and play some board games.

This 18th-century hotel is set in the centre of South Molton. It mixes original character with modern comforts and has log fires, free Wi-Fi, free parking and en suite rooms with flat-screen TVs.

I’ve stayed at The George many times and cannot fault any aspect of the hotel. The rooms are fabulous, clean, & superbly appointed. The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful, with customer service at the forefront. The breakfast is amazing, and I can’t think of a better place to stay. Brilliant service and fabulous value for money. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

A wonderful, almost fairy-tale-like place with a unique atmosphere. The hosts' exceptional hospitality, offering fruit, basic food products, and a bottle of wine, was remarkable. It is worth highlighting the very high standard of cleanliness, which is rare even in exclusive hotels. I would gladly return there someday...

We were traveling from New Zealand and loved everything about this accommodation. Admittedly we had a room upgrade, but the whole experience was exceptional. We ate dinner and breakfast there and could not fault it. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the old character of the hotel and have already recommended it to friends for when they travel to the UK.
