To start, we arrived very late in the evening, and they kept the kitchen open to cook us dinner. The pub is an absolute gem. A genuine country pub with locals playing darts, but decorated to a standard that Londoners would love. Food was amazing. Room was amazing. Attention to detail around every corner. Dyson hair dryer in the room. Artisinal locally made chocolates waiting for us. Mini bar full of artisinal locally crafted liquors. Wireless charging mats for our phones next to the bed. Artisinal locally made cheese with the continental breakfast (some of the best cheese I've ever tasted). Friendly staff who were happy to tell us the history of the pub. Absolute hidden gem that would probably cost 400 quid a night in London. Highly recommended!

The Little Barn státar af útsýni yfir innri húsgarðinn og býður upp á gistingu með garði og verönd, í um 45 km fjarlægð frá Apex. It begun by a warm greeting. Turns out I had booked the wrong date somehow. But it didn’t matter. We were invited into their home, got to meet the dog’s, were made a pot of tea and they fit us in and got the little barn ready for us. Truly above and beyond. The little barn itself is amazing! Perfect mixture of modern and cozy. We didn’t even leave. I would 100% return, perhaps when the weather is a bit better so we can explore a little.

The Peacock Inn er staðsett í Chelsworth og Hedingham-kastali er í innan við 26 km fjarlægð. The welcome and hospitality was excellent. Comfortable bed and good quality bedding. Food is excellent, deserts are to die for and breakfast excellent with just the best quality local produce. Location is beautiful and the drinks selection is excellent - outstanding wine including hughe selection by the glass - and non alcoholic gin. We would return to eat.
