It was a real home from home. Landlord is such a good friend that he's practically family. Also recommended some tourist spots for us. He also can speak a lot of languages, such as English and Chinese and Japanese. So we don’t have any problem to communicate. So we’ll recommend this 10 out of 10 hotel to every tourist. Sometimes he’ll greet you at the door, this meant so much to me especially when I was missing my dog at home. The neighborhood is AMAZING. I love Koenji so much. A perfect, calm getaway from the city with still plenty of things to do. Great restaurants, thrifting, karaoke, parks, and Japanese vibes. Also Nakano is a 20 min walk away and they have a mall with Uniqlo and everything else you’d need. It’s easy to meet other people and make friends! Women-only was awesome and made me feel really safe. I can’t wait to go back and spend my entire Japan trip here. I shouldn’t have bothered with any other hotels. Nothing compares to Grapehouse Koenji!
