Loved the warm Filipino hospitality of the staff. When you make a request, they take a next step to help solve your problem. The facilities were excellent. The room we stayed in was beautiful. The bed was comfortable and quite relaxing. I'd recommend taking a room with an ocean view, our toddler enjoyed the view of the fish pond from the room.

The accommodation itself was a dream—beautiful, cozy, and in the perfect location. We loved it so much that we actually came back just two weeks after our first visit! Meredith went above and beyond to help us with every request, always with a smile and such genuine care. Even when we had to switch to a different place for our final night (since they were fully booked), they still invited us to use the shared spaces and made us feel just as welcome. If you’re looking for a super cozy, laid-back place surrounded by the kindest people, Balay Kumbal is exactly where you want to be.

Accommodation is in a nice quiet place, facilities are all new and well maintained and everything was very clean. The owner is supppper helpful, she recommended some places to see and some things to do. She was super hospitable, i was stuck there during a typhoon and she gave me free snacks, fresh coconut water, boiled hot water (there was a power cut during the typhoon) and tea and coffee till the typhoon passed. Would recommend the accommodation for sure and would definitely stay again if i am in bohol :)

The most amazing outside shower and comfortable bed. You can also rent scooter for 350 php / day. Amazing view from the common area also. Quiet and wonderful in the jungle part of San Juan
