Octant Douro located in Vista Alegre, Castelo de Paiva. Offering a stunning infinity pool the hotel overlooks the Douro River blending itself with the surrounding nature. The staff were so helpful and our dog Ted was made very welcome. Beautiful location and the hotel facilities were very modern & clean.

It might’ve been my best stay in PT so far. The views are amazing, the apartment is well equipped, the breakfast was sufficient for us to make second breakfast for the train and the owners are super nice.

Absolut stunning views of the valley and the river, rooms extremely well designed, the breakfast was very generous and full of local delicacies, we didn’t try the restaurant, the spa is complete and can accommodate comfortably the guests in the hotel without becoming crowded, the young local crew handling the guests was very efficient and they are genuinely focused in making your stay just perfect.

Quinta da Ribeirinha - Douro River er staðsett í Paços de Gaiolo, 46 km frá Douro-safninu og 46 km frá Our Lady of Remedies-helgistaðnum. Boðið er upp á garð og útsýni yfir ána. Everything. Beautiful setting. Great facilities. Shumara (sp?) was so friendly and helpful!

We loved the reception by Mrs Julia, who was very kind and friendly. She gave us tips on restaurants nearby. We also enjoyed the wineyard at the bottom of the hotel and that we were allowed to walk around at any time. The place is very calm and quiet, perfect for a escape from the city hustle and bustle. Mr Jose was also of extreme kindness setting us up with a lovely boat tour through Douro on my bday. We had just asked where we could arrange for the tour and he went all the way calling the person and helping us organize. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff was really attentive. We highly recommend a stay with them!

Apartamentos Barbosa er staðsett í Vila Nova de Foz Coa, 17 km frá heitum hverum Longroiva og býður upp á herbergi með loftkælingu og ókeypis WiFi. Very lovely apartment and well located. The host was the best! No hassle and a truly helpful and genuine individual.

Casa de Hospedes er staðsett í Vila da Ponte, í 48 km fjarlægð frá Sanctuary heilagrar frúar Remedies og 29 km frá klaustri São Joao de Tarouca, í Casinha Siberiana. Quiet, spacious and wonderful hosts. They took the time to show us around the property. Very friendly hosts. They gave us great recommendations for dinner places. We enjoyed the pool, and we even had a taste of fruits they grow on their property. The family room was spacious for 5 people, beds are very comfortable and bathroom is gorgeous. The continental breakfast was served with homemade jams they make themselves. Lots of personal touches which we loved. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.
