Beautiful location and facilities, including the pool and winery with a tour explaining the organic grapes grown. The wine tasting with charcuterie tray was superb. We were thrilled to help with grape picking in the morning, receiving a basket of grapes to enjoy munching on. Each family member is friendly, kind and passionate about their business, also helping with the cheese factory location nearby.

Alqueiturismo - Casas de Campo er sumarhúsabyggð í sögulegri byggingu í Guarda, 12 km frá Guarda-dómkirkjunni. Boðið er upp á sundlaug með útsýni og fjallaútsýni. The location was very peaceful, completely quiet at night other than the sounds of nature. The accommodation itself was extremely comfortable, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was friendly, both the staff and other guests. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They answered our questions and provided things we needed. It's a safe enclosed community, our children were able to play around the gardens without us worrying with their whereabouts. There's two sets of swings and a small trampoline. The pool was a highlight, it's great that there are toilets and showers by the pool to avoid having to go back in the accommodation whilst spending time in the pool. The sun loungers and parasols are also perfectly placed. We loved the 'home away from home' comfort, including TVs and AC to keep us all comfortable. It was nice to sleep under a soft duvet instead of being uncovered because it's too hot to sleep. Feeding the donkey and the pony was also a highlight. The reservoir beach is 9 minutes away, easy drive, totally worth popping down if staying for two or three nights. We did it on our way back home. We stayed two nights, and didn't go anywhere in the car that time. It was nice to just stay put and relax. Thank you so much! We loved it.
