Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Volcanoes National Park

Staying with Robert and Jackie for a week in Musanze was an unforgettable experience. Their generosity, warm hospitality, delicious homemade meals, and amazing breakfasts made me feel right at home. They kept everything spotless and offered wonderful suggestions for places to explore. Musanze is truly the breathing point of the universe, with breathtaking views of the Virunga volcanoes and stunning natural beauty. I wholeheartedly recommend their place to anyone seeking genuine hospitality and a memorable stay.

A very special experience glamping on Ruhondo Island. Beautiful boat ride. Wonderful owners and staff.

Great family. Very helpful (Francisco, the owner is very familiar with the hikes and trips). Excellent breakfast. Very clean and decorated.

We stayed four nights at Virunga Palace, and honestly, we could hardly find enough words to describe how wonderful and comfortable our stay was. The hotel is only about a 20-minute walk from the center of Musanze, which makes it extremely convenient while still feeling peaceful and tucked away. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and comfortable, and the patio is absolutely beautiful, a lovely place to slow down and relax after a day of exploring. The whole team goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and luxurious as possible, but Sarah and Dan made our stay truly special. They took wonderful care of us and were also incredibly helpful with organizing the details of our days, always generous with their advice, and, above all, genuinely warm and welcoming. The food was excellent, and breakfast was prepared fresh and served according to our schedule. Whether we needed to leave as early as 6 a.m. to make it in time for a volcano hike or a gorilla trek, or wanted to sleep in and have breakfast around 9:30 a.m., Sarah and Dan happily adapted to our plans. Sarah and Dan, if you are reading this: murakoze cyane! Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

Great calm location , beautiful design with art's , kind humble people. Since then I was stay there again. Very clean, good vibes definitely one of my best stay in Rwanda.

My stay at Ikoro Resort Musanze was truly excellent from start to finish, and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations. The resort is beautifully designed, blending nature, comfort, and local character in a very thoughtful way. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with comfortable beds, a good working area, reliable Wi-Fi, and a lovely terrace where you can relax while enjoying the garden views and bird sounds. The bathroom is especially impressive, designed with natural stone in a way that feels both modern and perfectly integrated with the surrounding environment. The gardens are stunning, lush, peaceful, and full of mature trees, birds, and a charming man-made stone waterfall that creates a calming atmosphere throughout the property. Sitting on the restaurant terrace for meals was a highlight, as you dine while overlooking the garden and listening to nature. The food was excellent, freshly prepared and well presented, with generous portions. Breakfast was delicious and served in a relaxed, welcoming setting. What truly makes Ikoro Resort special is the staff and management. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, always ready to help with a smile and making sure every detail of the stay was perfect. You genuinely feel welcomed and cared for. The location in Musanze is ideal, peaceful yet convenient, making it a perfect base for visiting Volcanoes National Park and exploring the surrounding area. Overall, Ikoro Resort offers an exceptional balance of tranquility, comfort, and authentic hospitality. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Musanze, whether for leisure, nature experiences, or relaxation. I will definitely return.

The view around is amazing. You have the chance to disconnect and enjoy nature. The host was also very kind and he took care of everything. Thanks for everything

We really enjoyed our stay as the staff made us feels like we are in upper-class accommodation with their attention to details and kindness. I celebrated my birthday there, and they congratulated me with the beautiful cake before the start of gorilla trekking. Excellent service and attitude.
