Still trying to work out why this hotel is where it is, very remote location with little to nothing nearby. The staff are excellent from cooking breakfast to room maintenance, they do it all. One issue...we had room 210 for 8 days and the hotel was virtually empty and yet on two occasions they put guests in the room above us, and both times, the guests were extremely noisy, moving furniture at 11pm until midnight. Also, the hotel publicity material advertises that one of the beaches is 0.6km away...bit of a mistake there, it's not. Pool lovely, breakfast lovely, staff lovely. Just needs a tiny bit of polishing.

Comfortable clean chalet style accommodation with excellent quality restaurant serving tasty Thai food. Pet friendly. Peaceful quiet location just a few minutes walk to the beach. Nice helpful owners and staff.

Nah and Stephane made us very welcome indeed. They have a small number of villas set around a lake and garden. The overall setting is peaceful and very attractive. We loved to sit and read in the beautiful garden. They offer an evening meal for Bht 500 which was lovely, Nah is an excellent cook and they introduced us to some Thai menus. There is a pool and I even took a bike out for a short spin. Stephane was a great help with our onward travel plans. Above all we will remember Navari for the care and kindness of the hosts.

บ้านในทะเล (Baan Nai Talay) is located in Ban Ao Makham Pom, 2.6 km from Laem Mae Pim Beach, 13 km from Rayong Botanical Garden, as well as 34 km from Khao Laem Ya National Park. Loved everything about this place! Very spacious and open, loved being on the sea. No AC but it didn’t matter as the design of the place meant that there was a nice breeze throughout so it wasn’t too hot ( not sure how it would be when the weather is really hot though.) The bedroom windows were open wooden slats with no glass so you could hear the sea and everything around. The host was great and left a gift of fresh crab and fruit. Fabulous place that I would highly recommend if you want to switch off from the bustle of life.

Tree Roots Retreat er staðsett í Rayong, 1 km frá Mae Ram Phueng-strönd og býður upp á gistirými með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, heilsuræktarstöð og garði. Tree Roots Retreat is a gem for people looking for a weekend getaway to unplug. It is tucked into a field but still walkable to the beach, and my what a sight the sea was these past few days! The whole place has a distinct character with mix-and-match decor & furnitures, but they all come together quite well and the overall ambience is one of coziness. To me it feels like the summer version of curling up by the fireplace with a hot cocoa when it's snowing. The rooms are spacious with a huge bed, it is so comfy I could literally sink into it and disappear for a week! Each room also has a private "loft" which doubles as a reading nook. Don't fret if you forgot reading materials, they have a library there too! What makes the place standout the most though, isn't all of the above I've mentioned, but rather the hospitality and sincerity the retreat hosts - Carol & Dennis - show to each of their guests. What a wonderful pair! Highly recommend this place, and will most definitely be back!

Bayview Resort er staðsett í Ban Chak Phai, nokkrum skrefum frá Mae Ram Phueng-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði og verönd. A wonderful hotel! The bungalows are nestled among a variety of blooming plants, you live as if in a fairy-tale flower garden. The hotel has its own cozy beach where you can comfortably settle on a sun lounger or sit in the shade of the pine trees. The staff are very friendly and attentive. During our stay, we were treated to a very tasty breakfast twice! A great bonus is that each bungalow has a terrace with a sea view, which creates a truly special atmosphere.

GrandBlue Resort er staðsett í nokkurra mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Laem Mae Phim-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna. Excellent location, breakfast good. Staff very friendly and attentive. The pool is massive and always clean. Our room was outstandingly clean every day. Very hard working staff. Local restaurants with next door and also within half an hour’s walk left of the hotel. Didn’t try the restaurant on site so couldn’t comment.
