Babalao Bungalows has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Nungwi. the hotel is located very close to the beach, but still its quiet there. You can relax on swiming pool, eat nice food in hotel's restaurant if you don't like crowds outside the hotel. The owner is very helpful and held us with organising the trip to Mneba island. Rooms are clean, we had hot water all the time.

Breakfast by the pool, with the Zanzibar breeze and sunlight filtering through, was one of those slow-life moments you wish you could pause. What truly elevates Hostel 197, though, are the people. The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and well-trained always attentive without being intrusive. And then there’s the owner, Johnny. A genuinely charming man with a constant, easy smile. He goes out of his way to make sure every guest feels comfortable, accommodating requests as if hosting friends rather than customers. The poolside hostel beds are surprisingly comfortable, the vibe is relaxed yet lively, and the overall experience delivers way more than the price suggests. In a place like Nungwi where beauty is everywhere Hostel 197 adds something deeper: warmth, care, and authenticity. If you’re traveling to Zanzibar and looking for a place that blends comfort, community, and value effortlessly this is it. Some stays are temporary. This one feels memorable.

Kendwa Breeze Bungalows er nýlega enduruppgert gistiheimili í Kendwa þar sem gestir geta nýtt sér útisundlaugina, garðinn og barinn. The owners were amazing, they made us feel at home and recommended places to go and to eat which was great. We felt very well looked after. The breakfast was so good and everywhere was well maintained and clean. Only a 6 minutes walk to kendwa beach and 10 minutes in a taxi to Nungwi. We loved staying here!

The wonderful hotel garden, very helpful and friendly stuff, especially the extraordinary and very kind cook, beautiful and clean pool, very kind and helpful owners, delicious and big breakfast, clean spacious room with nice private Terrasse and the favourite of all Lucy the Monkey. We had peace there and could really reset good. The beach is 3 min by foot away with wonderful sunrise. We will definitely Comme again and recommend it!

The location is perfect, directly on a quiet and beautiful beach, ideal for long walks and swimming. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, always smiling and ready to assist. I also appreciated the calm vibe of the resort – perfect for unwinding. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the pool area was spotless. I was for second time here and I would gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar!

The restaurant at the hotel is amazing—vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, and a great variety of dishes including local specialties. The location is convenient and perfect for exploring the area. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend Uhuru to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with great food, even if you’re just booking a single bed in a dorm!”

Although we were only there for one night, it was truly unforgettable. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. Every dish we tried was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of unique flavors. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, Mr Kitipu the manager is a gem making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The ambiance of the place was perfect for a relaxing getaway. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Zanzibar!
