Situated in a mangrove forest with access to a sandy beach, Bahari Pori Resort features an outdoor swimming pool. It also offers a restaurant and several thatched roof tents and cottages. We loved absolutely everything! If you’d like to experience the real Tanzania, to see the authentic life and some peace and quiet (recommended for example when you’re on the way from Dar to Lushoto or you just have a few days after/before Zanzibar), we can’t recommend Bahari more! Francesco, the owner, is an amazing italian guy who made us feel at home and truly taken care of. He also showed us around and helped with our transportation. His level of hospitality is amazing. The accommodation is comfy and pretty and we would definitely come back again.

We were looking for a genuine Tanzanian coast experience, and found a little corner of natural Paradise, run by Tanzanians with a genuine care for the local community. Friendly people, delicious food (way better than what we found on Zanzibar). So glad we came. Thank you to Seif, Eric, Salim, Margaret and Fatma.
