Set just 12 km from Source of the Nile - Speke Monument, Nile river cottages features accommodation in Jinja with access to free bikes, a bar, as well as full-day security. I travelled here in November with two friends. Absolutely stunning place, surrounded by all kinds of nature. (You will see monkeys!) The cottages blew me away: well situated next to the lake, spacious, well decorated. Everything was clean and all amenities worked without issue. You can get food at all times. For the good price, I can definitely recommend coming here, it's really a dream.

Much appreciation to the lady (Diana) at the reception she always out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Breakfast was really good and variety to choose from, the location is central, easy to access other places. The rooms were super clean. I will stay at this location again.

The number one thing I loved was Peter Obbo. This man was our lifeline on the island. We arrived in monsoon rain and this man came out to greet us and show us to our room. He cooked us up some of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. He picked us fresh fruit from the garden, showed us around the island and had the best playlist playing the entire time we were by the pool. Peter even special ordered us food/drinks from the mainland when items were missing on the island. No doubt, the best part. He ran the island.
