This was a spacious studio apartment! The kitchen was full service with all amenities. There was even a tea kettle! The bathroom was adorable with its claw foot tub and hanging wrap-around shower curtain. One wall of the bathroom had built-in cabinets and drawers with a large, angled mirror. There were two more mirrors in the bathroom as well. Even with 3 people showering, the hot water never ran out. There were a delightful number of dishes and cookware, and enough counter space to make a full meal, even with the 2-burner stove. Management is strict about not scratching their non-stick pans, consequently the pans were in excellent shape. The bed was comfortable, and my teenaged son said the couch was "good". We stayed here two nights; location in town is excellent, the double door codes were a nice safety feature (street door to the building and our studio door), and being on the second floor, we felt secure leaving the windows open for fresh air while we slept or were away. This place was the perfect accommodation for our trip to Seward, and I would stay here again.

Gorgeous location. Absolutely pristine facilities: the bathrooms smell like freshly sawn wood. The lovely staff member who greeted me, whose name I am sorry I forget, was kind and generous with advice. My creek had a little deck over the water and I saw a moose with her calf. Excellent thoughtful touches throughout the facilities, such as coffee in the cabins and a hair dryer in the ladies’. I wish I’d stayed more than one night!

It feels like a home. Comfortable bed, dark bedroom. Spacious. Massage chair! Full kitchen, so it was easy to prepare meals. Artistic ambiance. Great views from the deck. Very close walking distance to trailhead, local businesses and restaurants. Lots of small details like a scraper for ice on the rental car, chocolates on the counter, cereal dispenser, movies, popcorn, and games. No door key to lose; code access. I've stayed in hotels in Seward several times. This was far better. I hope this site will be available next time I'm in town. Stay here if you can!

Don't let the exterior of this historic hotel fool you (though we were told they've finally gotten permission to paint the outside!). The inside is clean and well appointed with many thoughtful details. We especially liked the free water, coffee, tea and chocolates! Best of all, there are an abundance of old historic photographs around of the old railroad and the nearly 100 year old Mount Marathon race, which starts just in front of the hotel! Will definitely be back if we return to Seward.

This is a great place to stay! If your looking for a quiet, rustic, true Alaska cabin. It has everything you need. We stayed in spruce, which was right next to the creek. Missed the moose & bear but worth it. Our cabin was dry and the bathroom and shower facilities had everything we needed.

Really beautiful location on the road up to Exit Glacier. The Windsong was an ideal stay to explore Seward, Resolution Bay, the Kenjai Fjords National Park. A very relaxing and peace stay - the room was huge, very comfortably appointed with a large balcony that overlooked the woods really made it feel like you were immersed in nature. The Resurrection Roadhouse restaurant was excellent.

The location is excellent and the staff is very nice. The room is clean and quiet. The free coffee is very nice too. After we checked-in, we just noticed that the building has historical significance, some of the wall paintings tell the story of the local history. But it is too old and requires a good maintenance or renovation.

Location is one of the greatest advantage of this motel. If you take the boat tour to Kenai Fjords you can leave the car at the motel, and reach the boarding point in 2 mins walk. There is a gas station on the corner as well which is convenience when you planning a trip. The second is the personnel who is supportive, attentive and acts as a family.

A historic building right in the centre of Seward, makes this a convenient place to stay. Has all the essentials but nothing more. The continuing works to update the rooms and communal space will make this better as tome goes. The history on the walls as you pass down halls are a nice touch.
