The apartment was extremely clean, new, & spacious. Location was close to the beach (9 min walk away) and close (9 min walk away) to several restaurants & shops :). The hospitality was nice. We were welcomed with wine and checked up on regularly, to see if we needed anything. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a washer, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with pots, pans, cups, plates, etc. The pool was a bonus- very clean.

We traveled all over the coast of Croatia. We spent time in Zaton, Zadar, and Split. We all think the time we spent on the island of Hvar and especially in this villa were the highlight. The pool was a great thing for my younger child who would stay swimming all day if she could. Everyone had their own bathroom, this of course felt like the height of luxury to the kids. But if you were traveling as a few couples, this would allow everyone to feel like they got the suite. The AC, washer, and grill all got their fair share of use. The hostess, Silvia, was friendly and attentive. She made us feel special and welcomed, but not smothered or watched. Anything we needed we could message her. I saw a review about the mosquitos beforehand, but I cannot say there were any more than we experienced everywhere in Croatia. It's just part of the deal if it's hot enough to go swimming. I loved being able to sit outside on the hammock bed and look at the stars when it got dark and the mosquitoes were not a problem by then. We came at the beginning of the season so we enjoyed the beaches mostly empty which was a huge perk for us. The hike down to the swim spot is about 1/2 a mile according to my watch and it will be nearly all uphill on gravel coming back. But the views are well worth it. This was a lovely, relaxing part of our vacation. The kind of experience that has you asking your partner "is this an every year kind of thing?"

We immediately felt at home at Villa Bella Vista. Our friendly host and his family were brilliant, caring, welcoming and always ready to help. They gave us great recommendations and never hesitated to do anything to make our stay more comfortable, even driving us to the port in the pouring rain and gifting us an umbrella! Hvala Antoni! The apartment was spotless, the pool sparkling clean, the beds very comfortable, and there was an abundance of bedding and towels. Highly recommended!

This resort is top notch. Their dedication to being a green facility using renewable energy is noticeable throughout the resort. Everything just makes sense with what they do and how they do it. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the reception desk with warm smiles and wristbands to access the room and pay for drinks throughout the resort. We were taken to our Villa 2+1 via golf cart with our bags in the back. We received a brief tour of our room highlighting the watch placement for air conditioning, fan controls and the use of the hot tub. Since we booked through Booking.com, we received a complimentary bottle of wine, which was local variety and was very tasty. Additionally, there were two water glasses and a bottle of still water that they refilled each day for us. The room was spacious, clean and offered plenty of storage for clothes. The bathroom and shower were very nice. All around the room was great and we were comfortable at night with the air conditioning and fan running. Valamar Amicor is definitely geared towards families. We came with some friends and their kids who used more of the kid amenities than we did. We found ourselves walking down the beach area and grabbing a lounge chair most days or enjoying the pool at Places by Hvar. We did not know the relationship that the other resorts near Valamar Amicor had. We found our that they were all related through the Valamar family and our wristbands worked at all the bars throughout the resort. Maybe they choose to highlight this or they don’t, but it was is very convenient to use the amenities at Places vs up at Valamar if we were not nearby. The pool at Places by Hvar was two-tiered and water was perfect. We found it less crowded and quieter than the large kid pool at Valamar Amicor. The drinks here at the Places by Hvar were very delicious and offered more of a variety than Valamar Amicor and we found ourselves drinking more here due to the choices.

The family that runs this place are absolutely the best! Friendly pickup from the port. Beautiful property, room and the pool area is something to behold. Home cooked meals and did I mention the pool? This place is a little piece of paradise. We will definitely be coming back.
