We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The absolute highlight was definitely the breathtaking view. Relaxing at the pool while enjoying the view and watching animals like monkeys and peacocks was truly special. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was well equipped with everything we needed. Dinner at the accommodation was also excellent – the food was delicious and very convenient after a long day. The owner, a young woman, was extremely kind and helpful. She supported us with everything, including organizing transport to our next accommodation. The laundry service was also great. All in all, we highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing experience at this lovely hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the greenery surrounding the property, felt like stepping into a peaceful paradise. It even rained heavily on our first day, which added to the charm and made the scenery even more magical the next morning. The bungalow was spacious of 2 stories, comfortable, and beautifully designed. There are only four bungalows on the property, which makes the atmosphere very private and serene. What really stood out was the team running the place. Though small and long working hours, they were super friendly, attentive, and professional. Everything from check-in to meals was handled with such care. Speaking of meals, the food was delicious! Every dish we had was fresh and full of flavor. they do breakfast on tray basis and not buffet since the number of guest are limited. They call you the night before to ask on the type each person would like to order.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and everything was spotless. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure every need was met. Escapade was amazing. It’s very peaceful, surrounded by nature and beautiful views. The location is great, hidden away a bit, but a lovely walk on the train tracks away from the city. Rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and the staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast and diner is offered here which was super tasty!

Everthing was great! It was a Oasis of well-being in the middle of the nature. Everything is quiet and the view is a dream. The terrace with the pool and sunbeds was the absolute highlight. The staff takes care of everything and also carries your luggage up. There is also a main pool, which could also only be used by us. In the evening, they cooked just for us and we enjoyed the meal on our terrace. Breakfast was also very tasty and definitely sufficient. The Tea Cabin is beautifully furnished and clean with a view of nature. It was an unforgettable experience! Thank you for everything!

Our three-day stay at Walaa Kulu Villas was nothing short of exceptional. The villa itself is stunning — from the breathtaking views over the tea plantation to the beautiful pool, stylish interiors, and peaceful surroundings. It truly has everything you could wish for, and if by any chance you’re missing something, just ask Namal. He and his team took such incredible care of us throughout our stay. The food deserves a special mention: the chef is outstanding. We enjoyed some of the best meals we’ve had in Sri Lanka, all freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The location is fantastic as well — only a 10-minute drive from Ella, with a smooth and easy road leading up. The villa sits above a tea plantation, right next to a tea factory, and we loved spending a morning touring the factory, learning about the tea-making process, and even making our own tea. Overall, we simply didn’t want to leave. Walaa Kulu Villa is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and be looked after by genuinely caring and wonderful people.

A location to take your breath away. We arrived late afternoon and watched the sunset over the valley - just incredible. The old tea planter villa has been beautifully and authentically restored with comfort and sociability in mind. We didn’t read all the details but had taken the all inclusive option (which is advisable) which included all food and drinks. A cool gin and tonic on arrival really was the icing on the cake! We also opted for the cooking class which was great - we will see if we can reproduce anything as tasty!! The food was all delicious and the staff were attentive without being too much. Here you can keep yourself private but the layout in the lounge is such to allow you to converse with other guests which we really enjoyed. If you want to treat yourself - this is the place!
