If you are looking for a place to stay near the Wilpattu gate , 5 minutes drive, don’t look any further. This hotel should have 4stars not 3. Nadeeka and her team went above and beyond. Rooms were spacious with balcony to enjoy the nature and sound of wildlife.

The Leopard Inn offers perfect facilities for a fair price. The location is perfect, only 5 minutes away from the Wilpattu National Park entrance. Our host Prathap made our stay even better! An incredidbly nice guy who made sure we had everything we needed... and more! He was kind enough to help me get fuel for the TukTuk as it was empty, which is just one example of his efforts. They can arrange safari tours, where it is recommended to go with the early option as it has a higher chance of animal sigthings and the park is not as busy. This means leaving the Inn at 5.45... but it is more than worth it. Also, it is not expensive! The food they serve is simple but tasty. Thanks again, Prathap!

Amazing retreat tucked away in the rain forest, with monkeys and loris all over the property! The staff was incredible, and the cottages are amazing. We felt like royalty the whole time we were there.

Didn't realise there was going to be a pool - what a surprise! We jumped in after our afternoon safari. Speaking of which, the hotel were incredibly helpful at helping us organise our safari last minute. The people here are so kind. We were greeted with drinks when we arrived, when we came back from safari. It's all felt very luxurious! Dinner was really tasty, as was breakfast and the room is really nice.

We stayed in the Neluma The Premimum villa for a night and left completely transformed. From the moment we arrived, the team at VerdEra Wild made us feel like the only guests in the world.The staff were incredibly attentive — always anticipating what we needed before we even asked, yet never intrusive. The villa itself is stunning: beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and the private pool overlooking the forest is something we will never forget. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle each morning felt surreal. The full-board dining experience was a highlight — fresh, flavourful Sri Lankan meals with lovely care taken for dietary preferences. And the safari arrangements were seamlessly organised; we spotted leopards on two separate mornings.
