Everything was amazing. Staff was amazing and responsive. The food was exceptional. The rooms were well kept and the sunset view was icing on the cake.

My experience at Siddhartha Vilasa Banbas Resort was nothing short of enchanting. Nestled beside Chitwan National Park, the tranquility of the surroundings offered a perfect retreat. The resort's safaris and river trips allowed me to witness diverse wildlife in their natural habitat, creating thrilling memories. The rustic luxury of the resort, combined with a delightful fusion of local and international cuisine, made each meal a culinary journey. Kingfishers' melodies by fish-filled waterholes added a poetic touch to the dining experience. Exploring the peaceful gardens teeming with native plants or lounging by the infinity pool provided moments of pure relaxation. What struck me most was the seamless integration of nature with modern amenities, ensuring accessibility for differently-abled guests. Moreover, the warmth and hospitality of the Manager, GM, and the entire staff made my stay truly memorable. Their personal touch added an extra layer of comfort and made Siddhartha Vilasa Banbas Resort my top recommendation in Sauraha, Chitwan. Truly a Sanctuary. Top notch, super comfy rooms (and trust us - we did a comprehensive research across all Chitwan hotels) and well maintained facilities. Can't emphasize enough how happy we were us to be able to take a very comfortable shower after full day of jungle activities. Jeep safari, River safari, Jungle walks were all amazing experiences - especially the Jeep safari! On one full day safari, we were able to see 20+ rhinos, countless deers and peacocks and langur, the famous wilf elephant Dhurbe, a sloth bear, and even a tiger from a distance! Our guide Roshan has sharp eyes and went out of the way to look for animals that we wished to see - we saw many animals that we wouldn’t have been able to spot without him. Food was also top notch (beat 90% of resort food almost everywhere) - amazing fried rice and love breakfast that was different everyday! The sundowner watching rhinos from afar was also an unforgettable experience. Thank Sanctuary Chitwan team for taking great care of us. We will definitely revisit if we are back in the region to see more rhinos! Meanwhile, highly recommend Sanctuary to anyone who is visiting Chitwan :)

This has been an absolute dream in Chitwan! Located 25mins from Bharatpur, where the tourist bus dropped us off. We arrived to a cold towel and welcome drink (as we did after all of our excursions). Babu the manager was wonderful, explained everything to us, organised laundry, taxis and bus tickets. The lodge itself was stunning. Our lodge had a balcony facing into the jungle so we could sit in the chairs and watch birds fly around. The lodge was large, clean, well facilitated with two large bottles of drinking water everyday, a mini fridge, toiletries and air con (necessary!) The lodged are set in a beautiful complex with lots of trees, plants, a stunning pool and most importantly a river viewing deck. We saw crocodiles, gharials and deer every day from our deck. There were lizards, and an array of beautiful birds that we could see from the deck while eating our meals or enjoying a drink, and swimming in the pool with colourful birds flying overhead was fantastic. The food is exceptional, large portions and a reasonable price, a main cost between 500-1000 rupees. Tea and coffee are complimentary and can be ordered anytime. Our breakfast was included and delicious! The service is simply wonderful, all the staff speak amazing English and are so attentive, polite and friendly; they simply can't do enough for you and are happy to help with any problems or answer questions. Babu even spent extra time with us, helping us bird and croc spot from the deck. We went on three excursions, jeep safari, canoe trip and crocodile breeding centre. All were organised by the hotel with no stress. Babu and his team took us out and we saw lots of animals including: rhinos, hog deer, spotted deer, elephants, crocodiles, gharials, wild boar, peacocks, kingfishers, macaques and plenty of other birds that Babu pointed out to us. The hotel really made our holiday and we felt so special staying here.

We stayed in the lodge as a belated birthday present for my boyfriend and the staff went above and beyond. They baked and decorated him a cake and even brought out the elephants so he could feed them fruit and elephant sandwiches. This place will be a special place in my heart because as a double surprise, my boyfriend actually proposed to me on the first night during the elephant sundowners and it was incredible. We had the place to ourselves and Sam our tour guide looked after us so well and helped create magical memories. The food is amazing and tastes so lovely and all the staff are very friendly and polite. They let us stay late in their main hub to use their Wi-Fi to call back home to tell them our engagement news until the late hours. My fiancée particularly liked the hammocks and chilling by the pool to top off the stay.

The property is spacious and grand.
