Beautiful property right on the river, two gorgeous pools, great onsite restaurant, room was large, well appointed, comfortable and private, felt like a cabin, good breakfast and dinner meals were superb! Walking distance to markets but in quiet area of Kanchanaburi. Great value for the money.

The breakfast was excellent. It was limited, so, no buffet. But the Modeva is a boutique hotel and I wouldn't expect one; similar to a continental breakfast, but with added fresh fruit. The staff also went out and bought a particular Thai breakfast dish for me. The room had a Sharp flatscreen and major channels; Youtube, Netflix, etc. unlike other good resorts which only have Thai channels. This hotel's real bonus though, is the garden and pool, because they are so child friendly––toys, games, playground, sandpit, inflatables––very fun for my son :)

We loved everything! It was a last minute decision to stay one more night in the city and even tho we could have stayed at the previous hotel we decided to changed to the Kanchanaburi City hotel and it was the best decision ever! The staff was so helpful and kind! They prepared a take away breakfast as we were leaving early in the morning and were smiling everytime we passed the reception!
