The owner of Indalo was amazing! Very welcoming, polite, and kind. Fresh coffee was available every morning and drinking water throughout the day. He helped me with everything I needed during my stay and was very supportive during my checkout when I almost missed my flight. The hotel is within walking distance from everything in Puerto Viejo and offers free safe parking space. My room was safe and quiet, the air conditioner was working perfectly, and cleaned every day. I would definitely choose it in case of returning to Puerto Viejo!

With an amazing beach within 2 mins walking distance (the most beautiful beach we could find in the area + barely visited by others). 15 mins car ride to Puerto Viejo. Overall outstanding place, worth every penny. Would definitely come back here! 10/10

Casa Caribbean Coconut er staðsett í Cahuita, í nokkurra skrefa fjarlægð frá Negra og 25 km frá Jaguar Rescue Center. Boðið er upp á herbergi með loftkælingu og sérbaðherbergi. This place is fantastic! Highly recommend it. Sylvio is a great host, and very attentive. The pool was ideal with our kids 5+9 years. Good to know that the restaurant is temporarily closed but will open again in a couple of months. This was no issue for us, as we enjoyed the communal kitchen very much!

Wow, what an unexpected surprise! We wanted to break down our drive and looked for a place to stay with our kids for one night and booked a night here last minute. The moment we arrived we couldn't believe our luck. The place is amazing, every small detail thought about. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are so nice, beds were so comfortable. The only noise is the birds, such a relaxing place. There is a restaurant right outside the property but we didn't eat there, and the pool seems great though we didn't try it because it was raining so hard. still the rain didn't bother us to appreciate the beauty of the place. The hostess was so kind and welcoming, she prepared us a magnificent breakfast, we would definitely recommend.

Mecca er staðsett í Puerto Viejo, 700 metra frá Negra-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis reiðhjólum, ókeypis einkabílastæði, útisundlaug og garð. I felt right at home at Mecca and 10/10 recommend to all. I stayed about a week and felt I had the perfect balance of peaceful time to myself lounging by the pool or petting the dogs in the common area and social time, chatting with the owner Kim and her family who were visiting and were kind enough to extend invites to share time with them. Outside of my time spent in Mecca, I also liked that there were bikes I could take to explore and we were close to a restaurant with a nice beach view, live music and a bar. Plus, Kim gave recommendations of where to eat, what to do in the area and how to get around. Plus since I overlapped with Thanksgiving, I got to be a part of a black expat Friendsgiving and family festivities which was very nice as a solo traveler.
