Airport shuttle was waiting when we arrived and the driver was really friendly and knowledgeable. We only stayed one night as our flight had been delayed and we had to book in SJO last minute. We were looking for something convenient and comfortable and it met those requirements perfectly. There are food trucks and a supermarket and pharmacy outside as well as a nice restaurant in the hotel itself. We used the gym which was clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This condominium is beautiful and very well kept. You can even wash and dry your clothes while you’re there. It is also only 5 kilometers from the hotels that are pick up points for many of the tours that go to the Arenal volcano. The owner is very responsive and accommodating.

Stay a bit longer and you will know what I mean. Simply as that. The pros outweigh the cons here, by far.

I was traveling through the Central Valley when I tripped and broke my ankle. I needed a place to stay after seeing the doctor for my first consultation My Dr. recommended Vista Canyon Inn and what a fabulous recommendation that was. They arranged for transportation to the Dr.s Office and then to the hospital for my out patient surgery. and picked me up after surgery. Thrilled they had room for me the next night. This place is Heaven on Earth. The staff, rooms, facilities, and breakfast were fabulous. Plus, they arranged for me to have a lovely room that was easily accessible on the first floor close to the dining area and Lobby.

Set in a residential area, next to Costa Rica Country Club, Apartotel & Suites Villas del Rio features 2 outdoor pools, a hot tub and gym. A free airport shuttle service is offered. We stayed at Apart Hotel Villas del Río and really enjoyed it. The apartments are spacious, airy, and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety and fresh options. What really stood out was the staff — everyone was super friendly and always greeted us with a smile, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re staying in San José!
