Located in the Nubian Desert on the banks of the Nile, opposite Elephantine Island, Sofitel Legend Old Cataract offers elegant rooms and suites. It features outdoor and indoor pools. Excellent stay at the prestige suite with nile view! I booked the suite for the first night as my original plan was to get on the cruise the next day. However, there was a mix up with cruise date and the suite was not available for the second day at the time of booking so I booked the king's room which was $400 cheaper than the suite. When I was at the hotel, the staff offered me the suite for the 2nd day without charging the price difference! All staff were very friendly, the restaurants are magnificent. Will definitely stay here again when I'm back! Make sure you get a room with nile view, I literally just sat at the balcony admiring the river the entire afternoon haha. Breathtaking.

It’s literally just two minutes from the Abu Simbel Temple — the perfect location. The property is new, beautiful, and spotless, with a stunning infinity pool overlooking the desert and Lake Nasser. Watching the sunset from their terrace is truly magical. The food is delicious and freshly made, but what really makes this place special is the people. The staff are incredibly warm, kind, and attentive. A special thank you to Asma, who greeted me so warmly at reception, organized my airport transfer, planned my morning visit to the temple, and helped with every little request. She was always available, caring, and made sure I felt completely comfortable during my first time in Egypt.

This place is clean and cozy. The best part is the host, who is always there to help. We had some issues with our tour company for the early morning pick up. The host managed to help us out. He also checked with us to make sure we are fine. We felt very welcomed. The host helped us find a sunset Felucca. The captain chose to sail behind a big sand dune. So the sunset was totally blocked by the sand dune. The wind was not strong there so it took much longer to finish. We have to pay 50% more than original price because “the trip is longer than originally quoted”. It was frustrating that we didn’t see the sunset, be late for our dinner and bitten by bugs while the boat is not moving. I recommend a different felucca captain.

Lake Nasser is truly one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, and I strongly believe it is a destination everyone should visit at least once. The Prince Abbas , Lake Nasser cruises is among the most beautiful cruises in the world, and I highly recommend this experience to everyone. I will definitely come back again, and I highly recommend it to all travelers.

We took a cruise from Aswan to Luxor. The cruise staff are all friendly and willing to help, including reception, housekeeping, and all staff in the restaurant. We felt at home with a big family. When we didn't have lunch, the hotel even left the full package of lunch at our room. The facility is modern and clean. We spent great time during this journey.

He even spoke German with us, which made us feel instantly comfortable and at home. Bishoo gave us excellent recommendations for activities in and around Aswan as well as fantastic tips on where to eat. He truly took amazing care of us throughout our stay and was always helpful, kind, and attentive. The restaurant he recommended to us turned out to be the best we experienced during our entire trip – an absolute highlight!
