We had one night here on our roadtrip to the atlantic ocean. We checked Vichy with bikes and that was really great. Breakfast was great. Host absolutely kind…we would come back if there is another option for our trip near vichy.

Room was cozy and clean, and there are small details to promote a feel good vibe, such as the flowery body bath and hand soap.

Our hosts were lovely people and we enjoyed every minute with them. The bed was great and the breakfast excellent! Our dog made a new friend with their dog and enjoyed watching the chickens.

We stayed on our way to catch the ferry home from Caen. It was very easy to find and a stunning property steeped in history. The rooms were fascinating and we felt welcomed by Joseph and Ogen who were friendly and explained the history and restoration of the property which dates from 1260. The rooms that we stayed in had a modern shower bathroom between them and beautifully soft bathrobes and large towels were provided. We requested the evening meal and it was the best food we had eaten on our entire holiday, we were also asked for any dietary requests as well. Creatively prepared leek vinagrette opened the meal, local vegetables and deliciously moist cod for the main course and the meal finished with fresh strawberries and homemade Chantilly cream. They had a fully stocked bar which complemented the meal. It was a truly unique stay and would love to return when the weather would allow us to use the outdoor pool! We had breakfast the next day which consisted of fresh croissants and jam and Ogen also made some divine scrambled eggs with chives.

Lovely friendly host. Immaculate room with comfortable bed and gorgeous deep bath. Extra treats in the room was a very kind gesture. Definitely one to remember for all the right reasons. Thank you. Wonderful and cozy place and wonderful owners 🥰, wonderful food. It was a real pleasure staying in this Chambre d’Hôtes, unfortunately only for one night. The family, Jake, Danielle and Graham couldn’t have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. The superb renovations to the beautiful chateau are a credit to their hard work and love for the property. The food was delicious. Our room was beautiful with lots of space and tastefully decorated. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our poodle Molly was welcomed and it was lovely to meet Merlin the resident spaniel. The location was superb, opposite a beautiful lake that you can walk around with a dog and swim in warmer weather. The chateau is easily accessed from and to the motorway. We were travelling north from Spain, stopped at the chateau overnight on our way to Calais. It was all blissfully easy. We will return 😁
